Alexa King Charles Spaniel Senior Female in Reading, Pennsylvania

My story
Alexa is a delightful 8 year old tri-color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was surrendered to rescue when she was no longer breeding.

After coming into rescue, we discovered that Alexa was pregnant. She gave birth to two puppies, one of which was stillborn. She was not able to produce milk, so the surviving puppy was tube/bottle fed until he was old enough to eat on his own. Alexa was by his side constantly and did an amazing job of nurturing and socializing him.

Alexa has earned her "retirement" home where she can enjoy a quiet household and time with her humans. Alexa is good with other dogs and cats, and a household with a four-footed friend would be fine. She is good with children so a home with visits from grandchildren would be ideal.

Alexa is housebroken, although regression can happen in new environments. She is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for HW and is up to date on preventions and vaccines.

Please note: We know that Cavaliers are popular dogs and expect a large number of applications. Most if not all of those applications will meet the requirements for adopting Alexa. We will be searching for what we feel is the best home for her, and appreciate in advance your patience and understanding.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Alexa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
